Last up for the Fork & Spoon Fall Potluck band prefiew posts is Can’t Kids. Adam Cullum has been a big force behind lots of Columbia bands over the years, but it seems like Can’t Kids at his rawest, most energetic project so far. Usually stripped down to Adam on guitar and Jessica Oliver playing anything but a standard drum beat, their voices twist and topple together and you can’t help but be completely drawn in to the performance. Their shows are full of emotion and humor, and they are unabashedly fun. Unfortunately they don’t have any recordings that I know of, but they do make these matchboxes that are given away for free at shows.
SO don’t forget. Bring some food, your ears, and your “have a good time” pants and come out to New Brookland Tavern tomorrow for the Fork & Spoon Fall Potluck.
